Our planet

Net zero by 2040

Reducing our CO2 footprint is key to doing our part to limit the effects of climate change. We’ve committed to setting science-based targets in line with the Paris Agreement, including the ambitious goal to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040.

Our commitment

We exist to make kids Superhappy – now, and into the future. That’s why we take our environmental impact seriously. We’re committed to becoming the most responsible toy company we can be. Find out how we’re changing the way we play to build a better tomorrow.

Mapping our footprint

We’re calculating Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions. This work will allow us to set science-based targets, and realise net-zero emissions by 2040.

Powering play

We’re making the swap to running on 100% renewable energy. This includes all Moose owned and operated facilities around the world.

Delivering the WOW

We’ve already started moving from air freight to alternate transport methods like rail and maritime. We’re also collaborating with logistics providers to deliver on zero emission shipping and trucking by 2040.

Improve our packaging

When it comes to packaging we are focused on using materials that are widely recyclable, reducing the amount of plastic, and incorporating as much recycled materials as possible.

Working on waste

Our suppliers play a critical role in making the Moose magic come to life. We’re collaborating with them to reduce waste in our supply chain and improve our reporting efforts together.

Educating Moosies

We’re upskilling our product development team in circular design principles, and trialing new business practices to extend the usable life of our toys. Our learning journey in this space has just begun.

Playing your part

Toy lovers play a part in ensuring the recyclable is recycled and our website has educational information on how to responsibly pass on or recycle your Moose toys and packaging.

Play on!

We’re identifying opportunities to re-gift, rehome, refurbish, and recycle our products so that they can have many lives. We’re using our own imagination – a core Moose value – to make it happen.

FSC Certified

Our Bluey range was our first toy range to use FSC Certified packaging. From Fall 2021, all paper-based packaging carries either the FSC Mix or FSC Recycled certification.

Science Based Targets

We've submitted our commitment letter to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, WRI and WWF.

Better Inks

We stopped using mineral-based printing inks in our packaging. Less fossil fuels, same super happy play. This applies to all packaging associated with newly developed product from Fall'21 onwards.

A Statement for Change

We can’t do it alone – that’s why we’re collaborating with global brands to decarbonise ocean cargo. We’re a proud signatory of the Cargo Owners for Zero Emission Vessels (coZEV) 2040 Ambition Statement.

Recycled Plastic Blisters

Using recycled content reduces emissions and creates a healthy and happy recycling system. That’s why we’ve incorporated 30% preconsumer recycled plastic (PET) in all blister and window packaging. This applies to all packaging associated with newly developed product from Fall ‘22 onwards

Rooftop Solar

We’ve started to power play with solar panels at our Moose offices. We’ve installed a 260kW solar power system at our Melbourne HQ, with our Los Angeles and UK offices set to be powered by the sun by mid 2023.

Plastic Free e-Comm Packaging

Single use plastic is not always fantastic, that’s why we started to introduce e-comm specific plastic free packaging, like our Gotta Go Turdle.

EV Chargers

It’s electric! We’ve installed electric vehicle chargers at our Melbourne and LA offices encouraging Moosies to become conscious explorers and commuters.
